Road Trip: Kaiserslautern to Croatia!

Here is our Croatian road trip we did during our spring break. We decided to keep our travel plans to the more Northern parts of Croatia so we could give ourselves a relaxing trip with less driving time. We plan on exploring from Zadar to Dubronovik at another time. 

 

Day 1: Kaiserslautern to Bad Reichenhall
– Depart from Kaiserslautern in the morning.
– Drive to Bad Reichenhall, Germany.
– Explore the Old Town area, visit attractions like Café-Restaurant Reber, Alte Saline, Königlicher Kurgarten, Thurmsee, ReichenhallMuseum, St. Zeno, Wittelsbacherbrunnen.

-Overnight in Bad Reichenhall.

Next time I would have stayed in Salzburg instead!

Day 2: Bad Reichenhall to Zadar
– Depart from Salzburg in the morning.
– Drive to Zadar, Croatia.
– Check into your accommodation in Zadar.
– Spend the evening exploring Zadar’s Old Town, visit the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.
– Overnight in Zadar.

Day 3-5: Explore Zadar
– Spend the next three days exploring Zadar and its surroundings.
– Visit attractions like the Roman Forum, St. Donatus’ Church, and Zadar Cathedral.
– Enjoy the beaches and waterfront promenade.
– Optional day trips to nearby islands like Ugljan or Pasman.
– Overnight in Zadar for three nights.

 

Day 6: Zadar to Plitvice Lakes
– Depart from Zadar in the morning.
– Drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park.
– Spend one full day exploring the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes, hiking the trails, and enjoying the stunning waterfalls.
– Overnight in or near Plitvice Lakes for one night.

 

 

Day 7-8: Plitvice Lakes to Pula
– Depart from Plitvice Lakes in the morning.
– Drive to Pula, Croatia.
– Check into your accommodation in Pula.
– Spend the next two days exploring Pula’s charming Old Town.
– Overnight in Pula for two nights.

 

Day 9: Pula to Salzburg
– Depart from Pula in the morning.
– Drive to Salzburg, Austria.
– Check into your accommodation in Salzburg.
– Spend the evening exploring Salzburg’s Old Town or relaxing in the picturesque surroundings.
– Overnight in Salzburg or longer! We absolutely LOVED the city, the Zoo is fun too!

Day 10: Salzburg to Kaiserslautern
– Depart from Salzburg in the morning.
– Drive back to Kaiserslautern.
